The Gasworks is incredibly proud and excited to be hosting Hamilton’s first TEDTalks event on May 29th.

TEDWomen 2015 will explore the bold ideas that create momentum in how we think, live and work. From the young scientist revealing a breakthrough discovery to the activist who methodically transformed how the world thinks about women. From the veteran CEO whose trade secrets turn organizations around to the athlete whose extraordinary comeback shocked the world.

More than 150 TEDx events around the world will take part, sharing the livestream and presenting local speakers around the theme “Momentum.” The result: A truly global conversation — from San Francisco to São Paulo to Seoul — celebrating inventors and designers; thinkers and makers; local problem-solvers and global leaders. In Hamilton the TEDxKingStWomen will take part in the TEDWomen experience with a half day conference and after party.

For those who are unfamiliar, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxKingStWomen, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxKingStWomen event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.
